About the
instructor
I am Amelia Wilson, mom of two, and Certified ISR Instructor. My parents signed me up for ISR classes and had me swimming before I took my first steps, and I haven't stopped loving the water since! This carried into my education where I attended and ran cross country and track for Tennessee Tech University and graduated with a degree in marine biology in 2014.

CAREER
Out of college, I worked as a Marine Educator for USM's Gulf Coast Research Lab tagging sharks, collecting on boats, and educating the community. Once I married my husband, Nick, we moved to OKC where I worked with a contracting company with Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's traveling, diving, and servicing many of their aquariums across the country. We then moved to Middle Georgia so that my husband could work at Robins AFB in 2018.
Once I had my two precious babies, Annaliese and Miles, my priorities changed and traveling for work was no longer an option. Now that we live in a home that has access to water, their safety was paramount. I tried several swim lessons, but ultimately felt discouraged that they weren't learning true survival skills. I decided to take matters into my own hands (after lots of prayer) and combine my love of children and love of the water and become an ISR instructor myself, for my children, and for my community that I have grown to love so much.
Vision
I am so thrilled that our children in Middle Georgia will get the opportunity to now have access to ISR lessons. I will love and care for each of your children like they are my own during lessons, and cannot wait to see all that they can accomplish with a little hard work and encouragement! I am excited for this career change and all of the difference that it will bring.
